I won!

Thursday night was such an exciting night for me...I won my first USTA match! I was freakin awesome! Took it in 2 sets! Susie,Rachel,Kristen and Larry ( my loyal fans), came out to watch me kick butt!!! I LOVE TENNIS!

Friday morning was equally exciting! As my partner and I played on court 1 ( the "Show" court), in an over 3 hour nail-biting match, only to lose in the 3rd set, a tie breaker, 7-3! It's all good tho! For and of you who want to catch the "Shipley Sisters", we are playing Friday 3/21/2008, 9:00 AM @ Tucson Racquet Club! That's a wrap!

Missionary Work

Tonight I was able to go out with the Sister missionaries and it was a lot of fun. The sister missionaries in our ward are so cute. The missionaries that are out right now are sooo hard working. It made me excited for Alexis to be serving a mission soon. She will make a great missionary. Speaking of Alexis...she'll be moving back home the first week of April. We are excited to have her back in our home. Hopefully she is excited as well.

Larry Is The Best

I was thinking to myself today, and said self, "I'm the luckiest woman alive to have Larry as my husband." I just love how dedicated he is to everything. I love how he treats me as a queen. I love having lunch with him daily. It's the little things that matter in life. I want all the ladies who read this to go home and tell your husbands that you love them. It's like I always say...men like 3 things. A good meal, a clean house, and to be taken care of. If these 3 things are done, there will be happiness. Only then will they be putty in our hands.

Back and Ready

Ok...so I'm back in the blog business and I promise to do better. (considering that the last time I updated was in November) Life in the Shipley family is doing well. Larry is finally feeling better. He had the flu for the last two weeks. I have been busy with my new tennis team. It's a lot of fun. Actually, Susie is on the team as well. We have a lot of fun together. The women at the country club call Susie and I the Williams sisters. AKA "The Shipley Sisterz" We just laugh and take the compliments as they come. Alexis has her departure date coming soon. She had to get her fingerprint clearance yesterday. We were all very impressed that she didn't get lost and/or mugged in downtown Phoenix. Update on John and Becky's dog: The cast comes off in 2 weeks. Update on Nick and Kristen: They are doing great! Update on Scott: He's doing well in school right now and is looking forward to spring break coming up soon. That's what's going on in our neck of the woods this week. Oh yeah...the picture that I have included is of my 3 girls. They are so much fun. We will miss Alexis when she is in England.
