Empty Nesters

While Scott is away... Larry and Robin set out to play... the morning started with breakfast at Brueggers.. then Dr. Larry saw an emergency patient.... afterwards got a masssage, while Robin got her nails done... Beautiful! Off to Saddlebrook for 9 holes of golf... a bit warm but fun.
Tired, we picked up some Mexican food and headed home for a Siesta....
Larry is working in the backyard making a paradise for us and our family and friends... tonight will be quietly spent reading and getting ready for Sunday.. Brother Shipley teaches tomorrow.... I will probably watch the French Open as we all know I LOVE TENNIS!

Happy Memorial Day!

Today is a day we remember those of our loved ones who have passed on... whether family or friends and also a day to recognize our gratitude for our armed services. Today I had the opportunity at Dillards to write a thankyou note to our troops. What an honor and a privilage.
I am still feeling sick even tho I managed to go this morning and play and WIN 3 sets of tennis, go shopping with Becky and Kristen. Larry, John and Nick and Scott played golf and they all got sun burned... I talked to my Dad today. I love him so much.
Happy Memorial Day...

Congratulations Scott!

The last little Shipley has graduated from Mountain View Highschool... Home of the Mountain Lions. After graduating from 4 years of seminary last week, we were able to attend, tho a very windy night indeed, never the less quite exciting the graduation ceremony of Scott Dillon Shipley, class of 2008! Thanks to all friends and family who came and supported Scotty. Afterwards we came back to the house and family and friends including Scott's best friend Brayden and his lovely family had cake and punch. At 11:15p.m. everyone left and Scott decided that he would go to Grad night.. when he came home at 5:30 a.m., he admittted that it was fun. Our friend Matt Lundstrom won a car!!!! Too Cool! We missed Alexis last night.. I think Becky was gone at Alexis's graduation because of her mission. I have to say Scott is an awesome kid, somewhat of a mama's boy in a good way... I love him and his dad is definitely proud of him... all of his sisters love him.
Congratulations Scott.. well done!
