A bit windy today but all in all a GREAT morning for TENNIS! :)
Just found out that one of the teams I play for WON all 3 courts today! YEY!
Also, I recieved a call from the above pictured Sis. Hamilton.. She was letting us know
that Alexis is being transferred to Yorkshire Leeds England.. and said she looks after the missionaries as if they are her own grandchildren.. she had nothing but good to say about Alexis and how much she has seen Alexis grow! What a nice lady to take the
time and call! The world is full of GOOD People! :)

What a fun day!

Tennis match at CDO @ 8 a.m. My gorgeous tennis partner Patrice and I won... 6-2, 6-2.. went to breakfast with a great group of gals.. a new team that I play on.. got stuck at home all day waiting for the Dish guy.. (we spent all afternoon waiting..) Becky and I.. watched the Music Video Awards... sang and danced.. that was goofy! Finally, the Dish guy left.. we invited the Dish guy Gary to come with us..he spent like 2 to 3 hours our house waiting for a reciever...nice guy from England.. but he had other places to go and work.. so off we went to Texas Roadhouse.. now Becky is leaving me to go to Gaslight with Kristen and cousins Kate and Rachel. It is so beautiful outside.. I love living in Tucson.. and I love the sunshine!

We recieved some packages w/pictures of our missionary Alexis... I cant believe 6 months has gone by.. Her Dad and I miss her so much as well as her siblings.. she is a RAY of SUNSHINE to all those she meets. She is so ready to be transferred out of Durham.. ready for new people.. new surroundings... I hope that happens for her next Tuesday.
We saw the movie Dutchess today.. the movie was filmed in England ... not far from where Alexis is serving... feeling happy and sad.. I miss my daughter! :(

Happy Birthday 50th Larry!

Last night was... as my son Scott put it ... " AWESOME!" Party at the Shipleys!!! Family and the only the BEST of Friends were invited to this exclusive backyard extravaganza.. YES! Marilyn Monroe singing "Happy Birthday" to her adorable 50 year husband was a BIG HIT! Larry even played along for the crowd and it was just HILARIOUS!
I am waiting for pictures from Son-in-law John and Sister-in-law Sandi... and video from Son-in-law Nick.. will post as they come in.. It was everything I thought it would be ... and better! :)

I am so amazed at how blessed I am with the BEST husband in the whole world.. 4 GREAT kids.. 2 WONDERFUL Son-in-laws.. my MOM and DAD..KATHLEEN... AWESOME Friends at CHURCH and at TENNIS...the BESTEST Neighbors!!! I love EVERYONE in my life!!! THANKYOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO FOR ME! Just like the song says... I WANT TO KEEP MY HEART WIDE OPEN!

What a beautiful Fall day it was today!
Tonight we had the pleasure of going to (daughter #2)Kristen and Nick's for a delicious heartwarming
chicken/wildrice soup and sour dough bread.. along with Robin's pumpkin pie!
Afterwards.. we watched the Legend of Sleepy Hollow.. if any of you have seen or read this.. you will get the Tell the Tale title.. we had a good laugh at it.. I am sure glad that I wasnt born in that era.. I probably would have been burned at the stake! YIKES!
Thanks Kristen for a wonderful evening.. must go to bed..play tennis in the a.m. :)

Lucky me to be invited to such an important event in the lives of Corlee and Jonathan..
After setting off all the toys in the toy aisle looking for the perfect gift... found it..headed over to the park to join daughter Kristen and handsome son-in-law Nick with their friends for a 1st birthday party for my youngest friend Ashton.
I take great pride in teaching little Asher how to clap his chubby little hands! :)
I am glad we have become friends with this sweet little family.

A Non-Emergency 911..

I just had 4 very buff firemen at my house changing the batteries in our high ceiling fire alarms... isn't that cool that they do that? Notice the big ladder there in the great room? I can't believe what a superstitious weirdo I am ... I had to go around it several times.. because I for sure wouldn't go UNDER IT! Everyone knows it's BAD LUCK!!!
So, now we won't have a beeping sound.. of course we ended up with an extra battery from switching out the old.. and the fireman didn't know which one was good.. so I volunteered to do the tongue test (9 volt).. remember when you were a kid and put you tongue in between the 2 silver things on the batteries.. OUCH! It was a lot stronger of a jolt than I remember.. the firemen were all laughing.. I think I have a permanant lisp.. lol!

I absolutely love to play golf with my husband Larry! I am not any good but he is a good sport! He spends most of his time fishing my balls out of the water or in the trees.. He is a good sport and even lets me drive the cart because he knows how much I love to do that.

Becky you can stop making up poems...played tennis last night.. very encouraged my foot didnt hurt... won all 3 sets.. and woke up to a letter from our own Lexi Poo... Doesn't she look GREAT? She says she is learning to KNIT! She loves her new companion..from Southern Cal... I had to inform her that we beat her team at Nationals last week.. haha! lol! Have a GREAT day! Going to watch a match this morning for my team...
