Early Birthday Present... Pictures

There is nothing like opening up your mailbox and seeing an envelope from your missionary!!!
This was fun pictures of Sis. Shipley which I will share over the month of July..
The first one is of some investigators Alexis and her companion are working with.. they have been quite a challenge as you can see. hahaha!
The second is a special picture of Alexis and the McDonalds.. the reason it is special is because the man in the photo was Sis. Becky Shipley.... Ireland Dublin Mission... Bishop! We actually stayed with them when we were in Ireland.. they are AWESOME Latter Day Saints.. They are serving their 2nd mission in the Preston England Temple.. they were soooooo exited to meet Becky's little Sis! Small world, huh?

Happy Birthday NIck!!!

Today we celebrated Nick's birthday... with Steak and Cake! Nick is a BIG BOY now that he is 25 years old.. this year will be quite exciting for him as he finishes up at U of A in the Spring '09. Kristen made the crown that he is wearing.. and a golf ball cake that fell in the car on the way over.. uh-oh! :( We watched the movie Fool's Gold... it was cute... I got some new birthday plates that Kristen says she claims in the event of my untimely demise.. don't worry Becky... there are 2 sets, since Alexis is gone.. you two can split them... hahaha! Happy Birthday Nicholas Gardner Smith III.

Sis. Shipley loves the English People!

Recieved some recent pictures of our Sis. Shipley ... who currently resides in Durham, England. Here she is in the countryside. She is sporting a new do... looks a bit English, wouldn't you say? I am really missing Alexis and her bubbly personality... I know she is growing as she serves Heavenly Father and the people of England.

Fiesta or Siesta...

Sunday is the BEST! A day of REST! Saturday was so busy.... 18 holes of golf @ Saddlebrook with my 2 adorable son-in-laws and cute husband... turned out to be kind of warm... I dont think I will be invited back anytime soon.. and will keep tennis as my sport. I did enjoy the company tho.
Saturday evening was our Ward Fiesta.... good music, food, family and friends.. my fav. part was the pinata with the kids.. what a hoot!
I played tennis this morning for 2 hours , then worked out on the elyptical... and the weights.. only to come home later that day and eat BROWNIES!!! I just got back from delivering choc. dipped strawberries to a tennis friend who has cancer.... she is feeling better but it has been really hard on her.. I feel so bad for her that she has to suffer so bad... she is only like 54.
I dont know if she can eat the chocolate, but I know her husband was happy.. :)
Ok, time for night, night... good night all you Bloggers in Bloggerville.

Vacation in Carlsbad...

What a great week we had in Carlsbad, Calf. The weather was wonderful.. the ocean was beautiful. Family and Friends...good food...the US Open for the boys... pedicures and manicures for the girls... we missed Nico and John and Becky, next year for sure.
Fathers Day was spent relaxing... after church ... watching the exciting end to the US Open.. but wait.. it is NOT OVER! I am going out to look for a peace sign belt buckle for Nick if Rocco wins. hahaha! Grandpa and Grandma/Cookie came over for dinner today w/ Nick and Kristen.
Now I must give my undivided attention to the Ward Fiesta this Saturday.
Today was a really nice day... I miss my Alexis... she sent a card with pictures for Dad and it got here just in time.
Happy Father's Day!
