Looking BAcK at A WonderFul 2008!




Well... I remember saying that "2008 was going to be GREAT!" and indeed it was...
Alexis left for England in April, Scott (our youngest) graduated from Mountain View High School in May...recieved the Melchizedic Priesthood....completed 1st semester at Pima... straight A's.. Larry turned the BIG 50... had a special birthday party with Marilyn Monroe popping out of a GIANT cake! We were all blessed with excellent health and have had some fun times as a family! I love to look back and see all that we have done... but I really like to look forward to the NEW YEAR!

Here is what the Shipleys have going on for the YEAR 2009:
Scott completes his first year of college.. leaves on his mission.
John and Becky graduate from ASU
Nick graduates from U of A
Larry and Robin plan to go pick up Alexis from mission in England

What a fun and busy year!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!
A TOAST TO HEALTH, WEALTH, LOVE, PEACE, FAMILY AND FRIENDS... and ...OF COURSE LOTS OF TENNIS AND GOLF!!!

I love your attitude. And you are absolutely right--2009 is going to be fine! as well as the year of the spine, but that doesn't really apply to me I guess unless we go out and dine!

Hmmm - how about "2009 is YOUR year to SHINE!!" 3.5 league - watch out!!! That was a fun glance back through photos - many blessings this past year in you family and you definitely have a lot to look forward to this year - as we studied in RS yesterday - a lot to HOPE for. Happy New Year!!!

What lovely family pictures! I cannot wait to get back and play some tennis - might be a little rusty. I have to make some decisions on USTA teams. It will be tough.
